The IHS/MBA pathway provides a valuable opportunity for Integrated Health Science
students to apply and enhance their skills as they relate to management of health
care organizations. Graduates of the IHS/MBA pathway will be able to use their enhanced
knowledge and skills in a variety of health care careers. These include careers include
project and research management, human resources, healthcare management, and administration.
Minimum of 30-credit hours completed toward IHS major
Notes:
If there is room in your free electives, you are highly encouraged to complete MBA prerequisites:
ACCT 2100: Financial Accounting
ACCT 2200: Managerial Accounting
FIN 3100: Principles of Finance
ECON 2300: Business Statistics or STAT 1401 for Area D Math
These courses are foundational courses for the MBA program. If, for example, the student’s core curriculum includes another statistics course, the student would meet the foundation requirement for statistics and would not ordinarily need to take ECON 2300. If, however, there is no room in the undergraduate curriculum to satisfy foundation knowledge, the MBA program offers online foundation skills courses for those students entering the MBA Program who have not had this coursework in the past. Once the student is accepted into the MBA Program, you will be informed of any needed skill requirements. Each foundation module will cost the student $200.
Apply to Double Owl early in Junior year. Apply to Graduate Program in Senior Year
by posted graduate program deadline.
