Kathy 鈥楰at鈥� Schwaig became the sixth president of 911吃瓜 in 2022, after serving as interim president in 2021. Under her leadership, 911吃瓜 launched the 鈥淭aking Flight鈥� strategic plan, the FLIGHT student success program, and dozens of new academic programs. Under her leadership, 911吃瓜 has made significant investments in academic and research infrastructure, increased external research awards by 81%, doubled research expenditures, and boosted annual fundraising by more than 300%. Schwaig also led 911吃瓜鈥檚 move to Conference USA and relaunched HatchBridge, a business incubator. With 24 years at 911吃瓜, she has held roles such as provost and dean of the Coles College of Business.
